Make a Vote Plan

The Democratic Primary Election is Tuesday, June 2nd. It's important to think about your plan to vote.

Studies show that you are more likely to make it to the polls if you actively make a plan to vote earlier in the day. Follow these steps to make sure you don't miss it!

1. Register to Vote

You must be registered in order to vote. Voter registration has recently been made easier, and you can now complete your registration online. You must be registered by May 18th in order to vote in the Primary Election.

Not sure if you're registered? Check your status online or call 1-877-VOTESPA to verify.

2. Find Your Polling Place

Polling places sometimes change, so even if you've voted recently, make sure to check your correct polling location.

OR, 2a. Request A Mail-In Ballot

Beginning this year, all Pennsylvania voters can vote by mail. Many voters find mail-in voting easier and more convenient, so this may be a good option for you if you find it difficult to get to the polls on Election Day.

To vote by mail, you must submit a mail-in ballot application no later than 5pm Tuesday, May 26th.

3. Pick A Specific Time To Vote

If you're voting in person, what time on Election Day, Tuesday, June 2nd will you go to the polls? You're more likely to go if you pick a specific time, like "in the morning before work," or "after lunch," or "at 3pm" - whatever works for you. Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. So long as you're in line by 8pm, you'll be permitted to vote. Once you've decided when to vote, put it on your calendar.

Voting by mail offers much more flexibility, but it can also slip your mind more easily. Set a calendar reminder right now so you'll remember later. Mail-in ballots are also due by 8pm Election Day, June 2nd

After you make your plan, please share your support on Facebook and Twitter and remind your friends to vote too!
